Michela Calvi, PhD

Michela Calvi is a researcher who obtained her PhD in Experimental Medicine from the University of Milan in 2023. During her PhD, she carried out research activities in the field of tumor immunology, with a particular focus on the characterization of innate immune cells and their functional impairments in hematological malignancies to find out tumor immune evasion mechanisms that could be targeted to improve patient prognosis. During this period, she gained experience in both conventional and spectral flow cytometry, particularly in the development and the analysis of multi-color panels aimed at characterizing the phenotype and performing functional assays of innate lymphoid cells.

Michela joined the T-one team in 2023, here her expertise in immunology can contribute to the development and optimization of new therapeutic strategies based on the use of antisense oligonucleotides to enhance the immune response of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes.
